We created the website, brand identity and e-commerce (online store) for Opulent Decor, to capture the elegance of the home decor industry. Opulent Decor approached us from Pietermaritzburg, Kwa-Zulu Natal in South Africa. It’s a business that specializes in Luxury items that complete your interior design space.

Their Founder hired us to create and bring clarity, as well as a vision to their website. The niche was a “Interior Design” and “Home Decor” audience and the goal was to create a new, luxuriously elegant website to capture the brand’s vision.

Challenge

The main task was to create a website that is elegant, enticing, and sophisticated. Prior to this Opulent Decor had no existing website. Starting from a simple concept, we crafted our direction consistently with the business’s values. We worked mainly on UI (User Interface) and UX (User experience). The challenge was to create an online store that provided viewers with a truly sophisticated experience. We naturally sought inspiration from world-class interior design and home decor experts, stores, and places. We completed the project with the full development of the entire site and moved it to our efficiently fast servers.

Process

After working on numerous strategic approaches, we nailed down the strategy for the vision we would embody in the creative direction. We moved forward with the goal of ensuring that when customers made their way through the site, it should be an immersively luxurious experience. It was important that the e-commerce site lived up to the brand’s name by being opulent. We wanted the products to each stand on their own but still, find ways to be unique and at points come together.

Solution

This resulted in a successful milestone to their mission and purpose of bringing to customers items of luxury and elegance to complete their interior decor space. This included showcasing the wide range of sophisticated and beautiful kitchenware, tableware, and other products used to make a style statement. Having the ambition to reach both their current and new audience. In addition providing a refined e-commerce website, hosted and produced by B&E Design Firm with solid design direction and identity.
